The Shadow of the Divine Feminine
It is time for this discussion.
There is a false narrative which is being perpetuated in print and on social media platforms which emphasizes certain language that refers to men as the ‘toxic male,’ and uses other terms such as sexism, male patriarchy, misogyny, etc. This narrative can be clearly seen spread throughout spiritual communities and ‘woke’ culture, but it is also being advanced within our educational institutions. What was once the mythological ‘Divine Feminine’ and ‘Divine Masculine’ concepts has been revised and is now completely politicized and weaponized by Social Justice Warriors (SJW’s), and being spoken of as the ‘Divine’ Feminine and the ‘Toxic’ Male.
But the self-described Divine Feminine has a blind spot – and it can be painful to see and accept. The hating, shaming, and disparaging of men for the way men see and engage women is ironic in a sad and unexpected way, because all these males were conceived, birthed, and raised by women themselves. If the ‘toxic male’ claim is to be taken seriously, then we must acknowledge that women are unhappy with the men they themselves have raised, taught, and sent out into the world. It is none other than the very offspring of women who women are meeting in the world. What kind of males are women raising and providing the world? What does the ‘toxic male’ accusation say about the apparent inability of women to raise conscious, respectful, loving men, that they claim they really want to see in the world?
When will the self-described Divine Feminine take responsibility for ‘their’ part in the way male babies are conditioned and enculturated? If you don’t like the negative sexual energy of the masculine, you need to see your role in creating, maintaining, and perpetuating it. The newborn male baby didn’t create it – he was born into it. He was born into an already existing insanity of a feminine energy that is blind to the underlying truth of their role in the collective unconsciousness of certain male behavior.
Women create sexualized societal norms by feeding it with their time, attention, and most significantly, their participation. The days of blaming men for the existence of pornography, prostitution, sexual objectification, cheating, body shaming, etc., are now seen through. Let’s take an honest look at the role women play in promoting prostitution, perpetuating pornography, and sexually objectifying and shaming the female form. What role do women play in how men see women? And equally important, what role do mothers and other females in general play in what ‘little girls’ learn is acceptable behavior? How do women contribute to the rise of the toxic ‘female’?
Here are some blind spots of the Divine Feminine:
1. WOMEN AND SEX VIDEOS – When a pornographic video is made, it is just assumed that the female in the video is being exploited or somehow forced into making these videos. And that may be true in illegal pornography. But the fact is that in the legalized ‘mainstream’ pornography of today (sad commentary that there is such a thing as legalized ‘mainstream’ pornography), the female actresses in these pornographic videos attend a highly publicized annual red-carpet event titled the “AVN” awards which is nicknamed the ‘Oscars of Porn.’ It is the equivalent of Hollywood’s Academy Awards. Awards are received for the best ‘performances’ in different categories. Some of these women dress up as nurses, nuns, teachers, lawyers, doctors, police officers, mothers, and LITTLE SCHOOL GIRLS IN PLAID SKIRTS, etc., in these ADULT movies. Nearly every aspect of a women’s future occupation is denigrated in these movies. You no longer see a ‘nurse’ or a ‘teacher’ anymore, you see an object of sex. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AVN_Award)
2. WOMEN AND PORNOGRAPHY LEGISLATION – Lawmakers (historically and typically male-dominated) attempt to enact laws in response to women’s rallies and marches against pornography. Men are blamed for their bad behavior and for taking advantage of women. Picket signs shaming men (‘sexist/misogynist male’ accusation) are held high in the air at sidewalk protests. ‘Respect’ is demanded for woman’s bodies. Halls of Congress are stormed. They want men held accountable. And so, what happens? Another rally of women (shadow of the divine feminine) counter-protest and hold up signs that implore legislators “Don’t tell us what we can and can’t do with our bodies!” and “Men should stay out of women’s business!” The legalized pornography industry could not exist today without the willing participation and support of women themselves. Pornography videos would not be possible without females participating in the sex acts depicted in the videos.
3. WOMEN AND PROSTITUTION – Prostitution cannot happen without the participation of females. Many men who go to prostitutes are married or are in committed relationships. It’s a sad commentary on all sides. The point of my raising this issue here is not to judge but to point out that men are being labeled ‘sexist/misogynist’ and being blamed for the oppression of women and all sorts of ills of society. But what role do women play in prostitution? ‘Women’ themselves continue to advocate and petition the courts to legalize prostitution and it is currently legal in Nevada which has 21 brothels, some of which are owned and operated by women (Madams).
4. WOMEN AND ABORTION – When women rallied and protested against abortion, law-makers (again, historically and typically male-dominated) were petitioned to protect the unborn babies in their mother’s wombs. Again, counter-protests by other women (shadow of the divine feminine) prevented men from passing laws to protect the lives of unborn babies. On its surface it would seem that creating laws to protect the unborn is an innocent, loving and compassionate movement for a male to make – as sort of ‘protector of the woman’s womb.’ Instead, attempts to enact laws to protect unborn babies were met with picket signs from the shadow of the divine feminine that screams “Don’t tell us what we can and can’t do with our bodies!” and “Men should stay out of women’s wombs!” and “My body, My choice!” (some of these unfortunate slogans are real blind-spots, since it’s not the mothers body that dies during abortions – it’s the babies ‘body’ that dies). Of course, this is a complex topic and it is only being pointed out here to show how men can move compassionately, with love, and respond to the need of women in distress, when asked. But abortion is no longer just a last resort in cases of rape or because of health reasons – it is now at the ‘whim’ of the mother – the male has no say. It probably goes without saying that most abortions are because of the failure to use protection. Do women acknowledge the part they play (after all, it takes ‘two’) in preventing ‘unnecessary and avoidable’ abortions to begin with?
5. WOMEN AND LITERATURE – In 2011 the book “50 Shades of Grey” was written BY a woman (Erika James) – FOR women. By 2015 it had sold over 125 ‘million’ copies. Despite references in the book containing keywords such as: bondage, domination, rape, sadism, masochism, submissive, dominant, stalking, intimidation, isolation, abuse, etc., it is officially listed as a ‘romance novel’ and ‘love affair’ story. The story-line between the two main characters begins with an agreement that there will be no romantic relationship, only a ‘sexual’ one. Due to its popularity with women, a book trilogy and movie (a ‘chick-flick’) soon followed. By 2018 it had grossed over 1.25 ‘Billion’ dollars.
6. WOMEN AND OTHER PRINT MEDIA – Newsstand magazines target women and young girls with computer altered images of unusually beautiful girls and women. It is widely known that women’s magazines have negative effects on body-image beliefs of young girls and women. Yet women continue to willingly pose for these pictures, which affects the self-esteem of other women, and the Editor-in-Chiefs of these magazines are almost exclusively women these days. Some magazines refer offensively to women. One such magazine for women is titled “Bitch.” Pornography is another area of the print media (Playboy, Hustler, etc.) which would not be possible if women were not willing participants and did not pose for pictures.
7. WOMEN AND REALITY SHOWS – Storylines are usually centered around sexual innuendo and material possessions. Drug and alcohol abuse are made fun of and exploited for ratings. ‘Looks’ are emphasized and plastic surgery is encouraged. Fighting is encouraged. These are shows for women – enacted by women (‘Housewives’ genre, etc.). What message are women trying to send with these shows?
8. WOMEN IN SOAP OPERAS – Storylines center around dysfunctional relationships, sexual relationships, cheating, lying, back-stabbing, manipulating, greed, deception, etc.
9. WOMEN AS FAILED ROLE MODELS – In 1998 Hillary Clinton suffered national and international (global) humiliation when it was discovered that her husband Bill Clinton had been having a sexual affair with a 22-year-old intern in the Presidential White House where he, his wife, and teenage daughter, resided. Mr. Clinton could not have had this transgression without the willing participation of Ms. Lewinsky. The question may be asked (since the topic is the ‘Divine Feminine’) which is the bigger betrayal; that of the husband – or of that coming from another female? While it may be true that it was important to the Presidency to stay married for appearances, there was no such obligation after the Presidency. It was a betrayal that could have resulted in consequences that highlighted that women were not to be treated that way. It could have been a teaching moment. A moment to rise as a role model for all women, everywhere. Instead, it seemed to make cheating ‘okay.’ In 2016, Ms. Clinton ran for president and garnered 54% of the women’s vote in the country.
10. WOMEN AS CELEBRITIES – It’s not just men displaying less than Conscious behavior in the world. Many female celebrities participate in movies depicting violence, sex, cursing, vulgarities, lying, stealing, seducing, and on and on. Social Justice Warrior and Female rights activist, actress Alyssa Milano, created a comfortable lifestyle starring in movies with titles such as “Mistresses,” “Body Count,” “Wet Hot American Summer,” “Poison Ivy II,” “Deadly Sins,” “My Girlfriends Boyfriend,” and many others. She appeared numerous times over the years in nude scenes depicting sex. Miley Cyrus, another outspoken entertainer, appeared on stage riding a giant inflatable penis and has also participated in feigning doggy-style sex on stage with a male singer (https://www.google.com/search?q=miley+cyrus+inflatable+penis&source=lnms&tbm=isch%20&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiq3tu8v7LjAhUYCc0KHQFZDV0Q_AUIECgB&biw=1906&bih=987).
Are these popular role models examples of how the Divine Feminine is participating in the awakening of the ‘toxic male’?
11. WOMEN AND THE GENITAL MUTILATION OF MALE INFANTS – One can assume that circumcision is a painful and traumatizing procedure for newborn male babies. There is no definitive medical evidence that shows it is necessary or even beneficial, yet mothers continue to allow the genital mutilation of their male offspring.
12. WOMEN AND TWERKING – What does the Divine Feminine say about the phenomenon called ‘twerking?’ Youtube shows video after video of females being sexually graphic, emphasizing sexual acts. How does this behavior affect young boys and men? What is the message that women are sending to young men and GIRLS? Search ‘twerking’ on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=twerking+compilation). Look at all of the views of these videos – remember, even 8-year-old boys (and GIRLS) know how to use Youtube.
13. WOMEN AND STRIP CLUBS – How does attracting men into strip clubs and bars, dancing naked, etc., serve the Divine Feminine agenda of awakening the so-called ‘toxic male’? Does it bother these strippers if any of these men are married or in a committed relationship? Does it bother them that they may be participating, contributing, or making possible, the heartbreak of another woman? Does it bother them that they are perpetuating the idea of women as sex objects?
14. WOMEN IN POLITICS – Women have not added any fresh or new perspectives to politics. On the contrary, they have just managed to master the same old political paradigm that men have been using since the early days of politics. They have mastered the ability to lie, manipulate, and deceive as well as any of their male colleagues, and even more so with the advent of identity politics. Female politicians have weaponized the narrative of female ‘victim-hood’ despite everything listed above. They have become equals to their male counterparts in exploiting their own self-interests and perpetuating false narratives for political gain.
Finally, there is something particularly misguided about a man who helps to perpetuate a victim mentality in women. The ego is enlivened by such stories of victimhood. When a man supports these false ideas of victimhood, he is enslaving women ever deeper into their delusion of being something they are not (a victim). It also reveals a blind spot in the man; he also doesn’t know who he is, and can only unwittingly play his imagined ‘role’ and project his own delusions onto the female.
A man who has touched his greatness will not participate in allowing a woman to play small. If he feels she can hear him, he will awaken and enliven a deeper truth in her about her true identity. A man who has authentically touched his greatness will awaken a receptive female from the delusion that underlies the erroneous narratives of personhood and victim identity. There is an erroneous belief that the world you see can be changed through narratives of either conceptual personhood (I am ‘Susan’) or mythological personhood (I am Divine Feminine). It is merely more role-playing. False narratives through personhood can only ever stay in the dream from which they arise and play out. Real change only comes from waking up completely from such delusions. If you know yourself beyond personhood then you understand this.
Stop speaking of the ‘Divine Feminine’ as if you are the personification of it or that you even know what it means. Stop ‘teaching’ it as if you know what you are talking about – you don’t. It doesn’t exist in the way you are imagining it to. It’s a concept and a blind spot. It’s a Myth. Wake-up. Move on to another concept and wear out that one too. Keep going until there are no concepts left to play out. And then maybe, just maybe, the perfume of your True Divinity will effortlessly herald in your already and always existing thought-free Presence... a Presence transcendent of even the concept of divine feminine.
