What did Walter Russell believe?

Walter Russell (1871-1963) was a polymath known for his unique cosmological and philosophical theories. He believed that everything in the universe is a manifestation of one universal light, a white, undivided, and motionless magnetic light of mind. He saw this light as the source of all creation, vibrating into wave forms and following natural law to form the physical universe.   Here's a more detailed look at his beliefs:

The Universe is Light:

Russell's central idea was that all of reality is a manifestation of the Universal One, a singular, undivided light.

Creation as Vibration:

He believed that the Universal Light vibrates, creating wave forms that give rise to the physical world.

Natural Law as the Art of Creation:

Russell's theories emphasized that creation follows natural laws, which he viewed as the "art of God's universe of Light".

Truth as Simple and Balanced:

He believed that true understanding of the universe is simple and that balance is essential in all aspects of existence.

The Importance of Inner Mind:

Russell stressed the importance of the inner mind, or spirit, and the power it holds for creating and understanding the universe.

Balancing Opposites:

His philosophy often highlighted the need to understand and balance opposing forces within the universe, such as light and shadow, positive and negative, and cause and effect.

Rejection of Conventional Science:

Russell challenged some aspects of mainstream science, particularly in areas like atomic and quantum theory.

Alchemy and the Transmutation of Elements:

Russell's work sometimes included connections to alchemy and the concept of transmuting elements, suggesting a spiritual or transformative aspect to the universe.

The Importance of Free Energy:

He explored the possibility of harnessing free energy, echoing the ideas of Nikola Tesla.

-----

Walter Russell, a polymath known as an author, artist, philosopher, and scientist, developed a philosophy focused on a unified, universal principle of rhythmic balanced interchange. His core idea was that the universe is founded on a single, unchanging cause that manifests as a multiplicity of changing effects. He believed that understanding this fundamental principle could lead to a more complete understanding of ourselves and the universe.

Key aspects of Walter Russell's philosophy:

The Science of Being and Expressed Being:

Russell posited a unified continuum between the invisible world of cause (consciousness, energy, intuition) and the visible world of effect (light, matter, life).

Truth is Simple:

Russell believed that the fundamental truths of the universe are simple and that complexity arises from our perception of them.

Balance is Simple:

He emphasized the importance of balanced, rhythmic interchange as the foundation of creation.

The Universal One:

Russell's concept of the "Universal One" is a single, indivisible force that underlies all existence.

Rhythmic Balanced Interchange:

Russell saw the universe as a dynamic process of constant creation and destruction through rhythmic balanced interchange of opposing forces.

Light as a Foundation:

He viewed light as a fundamental aspect of the universe, connecting cause and effect, consciousness and creation.

Major Works:

The Secret of Light: Outlines Russell's philosophy of the unified continuum between cause and effect.

The Universal One: Explores the concept of the single, unifying force of the universe.

A New Concept of the Universe: Presents Russell's cosmogony and his critique of modern science.

Influence and Legacy:

Russell's ideas have resonated with many seeking a deeper understanding of the universe and their place within it. His work has been influential in various fields, including art, science, and philosophy. Despite not being widely accepted by mainstream science during his time, his ideas continue to be explored and debated.

-----

Walter Russell was a multifaceted figure, including an artist, architect, and philosopher, whose writings explore the nature of the universe, consciousness, and the human spirit. Here are a few of his notable quotes:

The genius remains an ever-flowing fountain of creative achievement until the very last breath he draws.

Each man is thus empowered to uplift all men as each drop of water uplifts the entire ocean.

Mediation transports one from the transient world of matter to the real world of dreamings.

The world needed to suffer in order to understand the simplest of universal principles, the unity of man with man and with God.

All dimension is an illusion, an appearance, due to rising potential, which must disappear into its inevitable sequence of lowering potential, and again appear in endless cycles of appearance, disappearance and reappearance.

I believe that there is but ONE THINKER in the universe; that my thinking is His thinking, and that every man's thinking is an extension, through God, of every other man's thinking.

The time has come in the history of man's journey from his material jungle to his spiritual mountain top when it is imperative that he must live more and more in the cosmic Light universe of knowing, and less in the electric wave universe of sensing.

We would not be able to encounter the beauty of a sunset or the beauty and perfume emanated by nature on a spring day, if we did not already have this beauty within us. When the beauty within us is revealed, we will also be able to see beauty in a flower, a leaf of grass or a grain of sand, or even in a clod of mud.

Our encounter with the moment is also an encounter with Eternity.

True happiness ensues indirectly. It always appears in a state of non-search.

Life is perpetual freshness, in permanent movement,
As such, we need to be the same way;
A childlike innocence is requested by Existence,
Every time, in every circumstance – a priceless purity.

Happiness comes to us by Itself, and It envelops our whole being when the mind becomes humble and silent, as it has understood its inability to encounter the Unknown.

Truth is Awake and Active

Truth is eternally awake and in perpetual movement,

Active each moment, in constant renewal.

We have wrongly divided it, creating small or great truths,

Truth is revealed as unity, when we are “psychological emptiness”.

The conditioned mind cannot encounter It,

For it is always confined by its limited nature.

Truth is immense – boundless – Infinite Energy,

Two separate states, different in their essence.

In its powerlessness, the mind must become silent,

There is no other way to detach from the past.

When the limited is silent, the being is extended into Infinity,

In that moment, the Sacred Truth envelops us instantly.

Present in all and everything, it is within us as well as within everyone,

It is waiting, day and night, for us to discover it, through integration.

Do not waste any time! Give yourself to Truth!

Humbleness is the path! Otherwise, you keep deceiving yourselves.

Nothingness

Nothingness is the void, nonexistence, the nothing, the non-thing. Simultaneously, it is also the Infinite, the Existence which permeates All that exists in the Boundless Universe. It has no limits; therefore it is Boundlessness.

Each time we realize the State of Being, we also experience Boundless Thinking, which is, in fact, the same Immensity we can also call Nothingness.

This Nothingness holds all the planets, stars, galaxies, and universes in orbit, as well as all their content.

Therefore, in a simple state of No-mind we encounter the eternal State of Being, which is, in fact, the Infinite Energy or God. Practically, we are in a state of Boundless Thinking; in a split second we can place a Thought on the Moon, the Sun, or any galaxy.

When we truly encounter the State of Being through personal experience, we realize our Godliness, for in that sublime Moment we and God are in a perfect communion, manifested as eternal Love.

Understanding

According to depth, there are three layers of understanding:

Superficial understanding – at the level of words;

Mental understanding, an association of concepts;

And finally, total understanding – which is boundless.

Total understanding is – by itself and through itself – true understanding,

Its spontaneous perception breaks the sphere of the limited,

The chains of the mind are shattered, in a state of freedom,

All is enlightened in the sparkle of clarity.

Attention is the key, providing comprehension,

Through it, all is clear and we grasp the essence of things spontaneously,

Being and action – the beginning of transformation,

It dispels the darkness of the mind through full Enlightenment.

The Infinite

We cannot experience it through our limitedness!

How can you ensnare Eternal Boundlessness in the cage of the mind?

When the limited is silent, the Infinite envelops us,

Through it, our being expands into the Absolute.

Integrated into Infinity, we live true Love,

It disintegrates all conflictual states;

Eternal being – integrated into Infinity –

Reveals the beauty of life and its Sacred Reality

In the “Psychological Emptiness” We Encounter Reality

The “psychological void” is peace, perfect stillness,

The mind is humble, silent, free from guilt,

For it has understood its inability to know limitless Eternity.

“Emptiness” – a mere window opening towards Infinity;

The individual is absorbed into it,

He lives the Absolute Truth, spontaneously,

It cleanses and transforms all past knowledge.

Here we discover Reality – a Divine Realm –

Accessible to anyone, through a direct experience.

The whole purpose of our incarnation lies in this encounter,

In stillness, the individual becomes Love.

The Simplicity of the Encounter with “What Is”

Psychologically, we approach Life with all our feeling,

Although simple, this wondrous encounter is difficult;

Simplicity is not the problem, only the restless mind,

Conditioned by time, by words and knowledge.

It is an unsurpassable obstacle in the encounter with “what is”,

Therefore, knowledge and the “ego” – with all its story –must be silent!

If mind and thought are silent – the human being is liberated,

Without desire and expectations, we discover true Life.

In a state of freedom – through “Self-knowing”,

We expand into Infinity – melting with the Sacred.

We encounter Love, transforming everything;

In Its absence, there is only chaos and calamity.

Does the mind become silent by itself, so we can be Simplicity?

Of course it doesn’t, for it is “ego” and activity!

Only Light-Attention can make the mind become quiet,

It dissolves its energies and It dissipates the known.

In the “emptiness” that naturally ensues, revealing itself,

Simplicity and Truth transcend us into Infinity.

Thus we discover our own Perfection,

“One” with Divinity, in constant movement.
